ccmMercury Technical Specifications

ccmMercury is designed to work with database management systems, such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

The ccmMercury data is accessible to other applications capable of accessing Oracle and SQL databases, such as third-party reporting packages, as well as record management software (Open Text's iRIMS or Documentum's ForeMost) and document management software (Documentum's ForeMost or Open Text's DOCS Open or DM, or Microsoft's SharePoint).

Recommended Minimum Hardware/Software Configuration:

ccmMercury Client:

  • Pentium IV, or higher, with 512Mb RAM
  • Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional, Vista (tested with ccmMercury V5.2+ only), Windows 7 (tested with ccmMercury V5.3.2+ only)
  • 300Mb of free disk space
  • Oracle Client (SQL*Net), if applicable
  • For proper PDF Viewing and for E-forms Functionality, Adobe Acrobat Reader V5, V6, V7, V8 or V9 must be installed.
  • To run the CCM Pick List Maintenance Utility, you need .NET Framework 2.0 or 3.5, and if applicable, Oracle client for .NET 11.

ccmMercury.WEB Client:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or 7

Database Server:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2, SQL Server 2005, or SQL Server 2008
  • Oracle 8.17, 9i, 9.2, 10g, 10g Release 2, 11g

Note that you must use an 8-bit character set. For SQL Server, use the 1252 ISO character set (with Dictionary Order, Case Insensitive, Accent Insensitive and General Unicode Collation). For Oracle, use the WE8ISO8859P1 character set. New with Version 5.3, you can use the UTF-8 character set in Oracle.

File Server:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 4, Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 2, or Microsoft Windows 2008 Server Service Pack 1
  • Novell NetWare 4.x, 5.x,6.x Server (for attachments and templates)
  • 200Mb of free disk space for the programs. Disk space requirements for attachments will depend on the amount of data you wish to store.

ccmMercury.WEB / ccmE-Forms Web Server:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 4, Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 2, or Microsoft Windows 2008 Server Service Pack 1
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 5.0 or 6.0
  • MDAC 2.6
  • Oracle Client, if applicable
  • Active PDF toolkit www.activepdf.com
  • Microsoft SMTP Server (if e-mail notification is enabled)
