ccmMercury is designed to work with database management systems, such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

The ccmMercury data is accessible to other applications capable of accessing Oracle and SQL databases, such as third-party reporting packages, as well as Open Text’s iRIMS records management software, Hummingbird’s DOCS Open and Documentum’s ForeMost document management packages.

Recommended Minimum Hardware/Software Configuration:

ccmMercury Client:

  • Pentium III, or higher, with 128Mb RAM
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional
  • 300Mb of free disk space
  • Install the SQL-compliant software for both the client and the server
  • Install Oracle Client (SQL*Net)

ccmMercury.WEB or ccmEnterprise Client:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2, or higher

Database Server:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2, or higher
  • Oracle 8.17, 9i, 9.2, 10g

Note that you must use an 8-bit character set. For SQL Server, use the 1252 ISO character set (with Dictionary Order, Case Insensitive, Accent Insensitive and General Unicode Collation). For Oracle, use the WE8ISO8859P1 character set.

File Server:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 2, or higher
  • Microsoft Windows 2003 Server
  • Novell NetWare 4.x, 5.x,6.x Server (for attachments and templates)
  • 200Mb of free disk space for the programs. Disk space requirements for attachments will depend on the amount of data you wish to store.

ccmMercury.WEB / ccmEnterprise / ccmEForms Web Server:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 2, or higher
  • Microsoft Windows 2003 Server
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 5.0 (from Option Pack 4), or higher
  • MDAC 2.6.
  • If using Oracle, the Oracle client must be installed

Notification Requirements:

  • MAPI-compliant e-mail software package
  • Microsoft Exchange Client 5.5, Service Pack 2
  • Microsoft Outlook 2000
  • Microsoft Outlook XP
  • Microsoft Outlook 2003
  • GroupWise 5.5
  • GroupWise 6.0
  • Lotus Notes 6.0 (with MAPI installed - must have MS Office)

Printers:

  • Windows-installed printers are supported

Compatible Third-Party Software Packages:

  • Open Text IRIMS 9.0.2.7
  • Hummingbird DOCS Open 3.8.2 or 3.9.5 or DM5
  • Documentum ForeMost Enterprise 2.6
  • Crystal Decisions Crystal Reports 8.5, 10, 11
  • Any third-party ODBC-compliant reporting tool
